WOMEN WHO KNOW THINGS
For women done living by the rules you never agreed to.
A Monthly Writing Ritual
Women Who Know Things is not a course, a spectator sport, or another place to collect other people's insight while leaving your own untouched.
When you say yes to this circle, you are saying yes to a monthly writing and sharing practice. And you are also saying yes to something deeper: living in closer relationship with your own soul's knowing.
This is how you become a woman who trusts what she knows and is no longer willing to keep it to herself.
Why this matters
The most powerful wisdom you hold comes from your lived experience.
What distracts us from it? The onslaught of news and information. The new courses we take and new teachers we insist on learning from. The endless personal development frameworks we could consume until we die.
Meanwhile, your soul is like Yo! I'm orchestrating this whole life for you to wake up inside of it, and you're not even paying close attention?!
Women Who Know Things exists to interrupt this pattern.
When women lose contact with their own knowing, they become easier to shape by noise, pressure, and other people's authority. When you return to that knowing, it changes what you choose, how you write, speak and live.
This is not about learning more. It is about making contact with what is already here.
What begins to change with this practice:
You catch the unconscious rules of self-expression (and more!) while they’re operating instead of after its too late
You stop treating your life experience as background noise and bring it front and center as your core curriculum.
You practice saying the true thing before it's polished enough to feel safe.
You leave each month with a piece of writing that didn't exist before.
You build a body of work out of your actual life, not borrowed ideas.
Will you grow an audience doing this? If you want to. But that is not the primary reason we’re here.
What happens when you write and share consistently is something quieter and more useful: you stop being a stranger to your own voice. You become someone your own wisdom can move through. What you share with others is imbued with soul, not just more noise.
What happens each month
You write. We ground, Cara shares some words and a prompt. There may be a micro dance party. We have 25+ focused writing minutes each session in community.
You speak. At the close of each hour, if you choose, you step into an optional breakout room and speak what you've written aloud. Four minutes. No commentary.
You share. Within the month, you take one wisdom story into the world via your Substack, your blog, your email list, to a friend, your partner or our Circle online platform. All of it counts. Hitting post is not a distribution strategy. It is a path to embody your wisdom..
You are supported between gathering, too. On the weeks we don't meet, I send “Pinky Promises:” short voice notes via Substack where I catch my own inherited rules in real time and reckon with them out loud with unpolished vigor.
THE DOORWAYS
Woven through the year are three deeper activation experiences spread out over one week. Each includes a three-hour live intensive and at least one follow-up integration session within the week.

The Red Door aka “Sovereign Aliveness” goes after the rules living in the body (related to pleasure, rest, appetite, visibility, wanting what you want). In this 3 hour activation and integration circles we craft and a witnessed in a story or expression to reclaim your inherent aliveness (Feb 2027 dates TBD)

About Your Facilitator
I'm Cara Jones, a writer, coach, former Emmy Award-winning journalist, Moth StorySLAM winner, and director of the documentary Blessed Child.
I grew up in a cult, entered an arranged marriage, and have spent decades discovering how many of the rules I thought were cult rules were actually woman rules.
I'm still finding the places where I thought I was free and I'm not. My work is about making those invisible rules visible and choosing what gets to author us now.

That is completely okay. The spoken share is optional. You can come, write, listen, and keep your work private. Sharing somewhere is encouraged, but you get to move at your own pace.

Cara will offer brief feedback on the first 3 stories shared in our Circle online community within 24 hours of our gathering each month. You are welcome to post throughout the month for the practice of allowing your work to be seen and appreciated by others. The overall goal though is for you to cultivate your capacity to be your own writing guide and biggest fan.

Yes! If you want a practice that keeps you connected to your voice while the larger work unfolds. This is not a manuscript workshop, but your monthly wisdom story can absolutely be a scene, passage, reflection, or question from the deeper work. Sharing your book in 4 min increments can be a most powerful way to move it foward

No. I love Substack for sharing this type of writing but you can share on a blog, through an email to friends, or inside our Circle community platform. That’s what it’s for!
